I Said I was Done With X....But The Cozy Devs Said Otherwise

Alright!
Let's address it.
Yes.
I said I was done with X.
Yes.
I packed up my bags and said, "were moving to blueksy"
And at the time?
I meant it.
I was over the chaos.
Over the noise.
Over the algorithm roulette.
Over the "why is the trending?" energy.
Bluesky felt calm. Smaller. Intentional.
And I liked that.
But then....
The cozy game developers showed up.
And suddenly I was like"
"hold up wait a minute...."
The Cozy Devs Live on X
Here's what I didn't factor when I dramatically existed stage left.
The cozy gaming industry still breathes on V.
Indie devs
Horse game devs.
Early demo announcements.
Patch notes.
Sneak peaks.
Wishlist campaigns.
They're there.
And if your content is based on:
cozy games
horse games
indie discoveries
early demos
The guess what?
You need to be where the conversations are happening.
And right now?
they're happening on X.
It's Not About Vibes It's About Visibility
This time, I'm not going back emotionally.
I'm going back strategically.
There's a difference.
Before, I was scrolling like it was social media.
Now?
I'm using it like a tool.
following developers
interacting with studio updates
sharing demo thoughts
tagging devs in reviews
building visibility in the cozy space
Because dev recognition mattes.
And I've seen firsthand how tagging the right people opens doors.
I Left Because I Was Over It
Let's be real.
I left because I was overstimulated.
X can feel loud.
Reactive.
Competitive
And when you're in a cozy era, that energy can clash.
But here's why I realized
I don't have to absorb the platform.
I can curate it.
I can mute.
I can unfollow.
I can block.
I can narrow my feed to exactly what serves my brand
I don't have to participate in everything.
Bluesky vs X (My Honest Take)
Bluesky feels:
calm
smaller
community-focused
X feels:
fast
industry-heavy
developer-connected
And as someone building in the cozy gaming niche?
Industry visibility wins
I abandoned Bluesky
and focused on X
If you know me I only go on platforms that work best for me instead of being everywhere.
Cozy Devs Made Me Do It
Seeing the cozy developers actively engaging, replying, reposting, and interacting reminded me why I started building in this space in the first place.
I love indie devs.
I love early demos.
I love watching games grow from concept art to launch.
And if I want to be part of the ecosystem.
I need to show up where they are.
Even if that means admitting:
"Okay, fine maybe I was being a little dramatic."
The Lesson Here
Just because you pivot once doesn't mean you can pivot again.
Just because you left something dones't mean you can't return with new boundaries.
Growth isn't linear.
Strategy evolves.
Platforms shift.
And sometimes the cozy devs say, Hey...over here."
And you listen.
