Why I Left Twitter and Moved to Bluesky: A Cozy Creator's Take

So.....I left Twitter
Yep! I finally did it.
I logged out of Twitter (or X whatever we're calling it now) and made the move over to Bluesky. And let me just say....it feels like a breathing fresh air after sitting in a room that's been closed for too long.
No dramatic exit post. no "I'm never coming back" announcement. I just.... stopped showing up over there.
If you've been feeling weirdly overstimulated and under-connected on social media lately, you're not alone and this post is for you.
The Vibe on Twitter Changed
let's be real for a second. I used to love Twitter.
Back when it was messy in a fun way. Back when it felt like a digital diary meets chaotic group chat. I used to "tweet" every few hours just to get something off my chest. No pics, no filters, no pressure. Just words. Vents. Little updates. Late-night brain dumps.
But then......it shifted.
The platform started feeling aggressive. Performative. The algorithm was weird. My feed was full of things I didn't even follow. And don't even get me started on how hard it got to connect with real people, not just viral drama accounts or weird bots.
Suddenly, what used to be my cozy corner felt like a chaotic room where everyone was yelling.
Enter Bluesky
I dipped my toe into Bluesky and was like........wait.......what is this?
It felt peaceful. It reminded me of Twitter before everything got so loud. Like, I can post a thought and not immediately brace for trolls, spam replies, or five ads for something I said out loud once near my phone.
No "For You" algorithm pushing nonsense in my face. Just....chill people. Creators. Artists. Writers. Friends. And a timeline that makes actual sense.
It felt like a cozy back porch on the internet.
What I Post Over There Now
You won't find me trying to go viral or posting flashy promo stuff every 3 seconds. I use Bluesky like my soft, faceless blog diary.
Some days I Share what I'm working on behind the scenes. Drop little quotes or cozy thoughts. I talk about the games I'm playing. Give updates on my blog (but not in a non-annoying way) I just pretty much ramble like I used to.
It's venting without the visuals. No pressure to post a photo. No fear of being shadow banned for existing. no fighting an algorithm to just be.
If You're Wondering, "Should I Try Bluesky?"
I mean.....yeah! If you're looking for.
A slower, softer social platform
Less algorithm, more people
A place to just be without the social pressure.
Somewhere that still feels like early internet in the best way....
Then Yasssss! Come on over!!!
It's not perfect. It's still growing. But it feels safe. And for a lot of us who've been burned by Big Platforms that means everything.
The Cozy Internet Still Exists
Leaving Twitter didn't mean giving up on connection.
It just meant I was ready for better connection. Slower connection. Real connection.
If you're following me on Bluesky now, hiiiiii! You already know it's just me being unfiltered, cozy, and a little chaotic (as always). If you're not over there yet but thinking about it. Grab an invite, set up your @ and let's float through the clouds together.
