So......I Did A Thing
You ever get hit with an idea so strong it knocks the breath out of you?
That was me. Yesterday.
Alone. Everyone was out of the house. I was deep in my own thoughts, doing laundry, making content, starting at my chickens through the window while drinking my second coffee....when it hit me.
I'm going to rebrand everything.
I'm going to make a legit business.
I'm going to turn my freaking mudroom into a real storefront.
It wasn't part of the plan.
There was no Pinterest board. No long-term vision mapped out.
Just this rush of "this is what I'm meant to do."
So I listened. I bought a new domain. And just like that! The Cozy Thicket was born.
Why the Name "The Cozy Thicket"?
Because that's what I want this space to feel like.
A thicket wild, tangled, a little unruly. It's protected. Hidden. Scared.
It's where magic happens when no one is watching.
And when you add cozy to that?
It becomes a place where creativity, comfort, and real life can bloom. Even in chaos.
I want my blog, my future store, my brand to be a safe little thicket of coziness in a loud, overwhelming world.
What This Rebrand Means
This isn't just a name change. It's a direction change.
I've been sharing cozy game reviews, blogging tips, my healing journey, and behind-the-scenes content for a while now, and I'm not stopping that. But something inside me shifted.
I've been dreaming of something physical.
Something I can build with my hands.
Something that takes all the healing I've done and turns it into something tangible.
So here's the vision
My Vision for The Cozy Thicket
A cozy blog filled with homesteading, healing, and soft living.
Long-form content creators, homemakers, ad dreamers.
Seasonal product launches of handmade and homegrown goods.
Tutorials, behind-the-scenes, and honest updates.
And one day.....an actual mudroom-turned-storefront stocked with
Homemade goods
Sourdough starter packs
Fresh eggs from our hens
Candles
Baked goods
Custom bundles and cozy gift sets
And who knows what else this little thicket grows into
It's be small, slow, local, and full of heart. Just like me.
The Wildest Part?
I just decided this idea yesterday
and today I said I'm doing it!
Everyone was gone. I had my iced coffee. The kids were at school. My man at work. And I was just.....sitting with all my ideas. No interruptions. No input. No distractions.
And I did what I always do when my brain won't shut up. I built.
I bought the domain.
I redesigned the homepage this morning.
I started mapping everything out.
No one even knows I'm doing this yet.
Not my friends. Not my family.
Not even my man (surprise, babe)
But That's the Thing About Big Dreams...
They don't always come with a five-year plan. Sometimes they show up in the middle of laundry day, and you say yes.
I know it might take me two years (or more) to actually bring this vision to life.
But the seed has been planted. The name is official. The rebrand is already in motion.
And one day, I'll look back at this post and say.
That's the moment I stopped just dreaming about a slower, homesteading life, and started building it."
From Idea to Identity
The Cozy Thicket isn't just a name. It's a promise to myself.
To grow something that matters.
To make space for softness.
To create for the sake of love, not just hustle.
if you're reading this, you're part of it.
You're here while the roots are still being planted, and I hope you'll stick around to see what blooms.
Welcome to The Cozy thicket, friend
We're just getting started.
