Hey cozy fam! Welcome back to the blog.
Let's have a little heart-to-heart about something I think every creator figures out eventually: not every platform is meant to do the same thing and that's actually a good thing when you're building a social media strategy as a creator.
When I first started sharing my cozy content online, I thought I had to be everywhere: doing everything, all the time. Instagram? Yep. Twitter? Of course. Facebook, Tumblr? TikTok? Pinterest? You name it. But at some point, I realized I didn't want to waste energy showing up just to show up. I wanted to be intentional with my time, my creativity, and the space I've built as a cozy content creator.
That's when I started asking:
What if I gave each platform a purpose? What if I let go of the pressure to do everything everywhere, and instead, focused on what actually worked for me?
So that's exactly what I did. And now I want to share how I developed my own social media strategy for bloggers and streamers so you can too
TikTok: The Real-Time Cozy Chaos
Let's talk about TikTok. Ohhhh TikTok. I avoided it at first, not gonna lie. I thought, "That's for Gen Z... I'm a cozy gamer who writes blog post and drinks coffee out of cute mugs.
But once I dipped my toes in, I realized something big.
TikTok lets me show up real. Not perfect. Not polished. Just me
And the truth is? That's where the magic happens.
TikTok is where I share behind-the-scenes snippets of what I'm creating. It's where I drop little cozy tips to help other creators. It's where I cheer, cry, and celebrate. It's fast, it's fun, and it's full of people looking for real connection not just curated content.
I use TikTok to be spontaneous, share value in small bites, and build community in the comments. It's not about going viral. It's about being visible and being myself.
Pinterest: My Soft Powerhouse for Growth
Oh em Gee... If TikTok is the cozy chaos, Pinterest is my secret garden of evergreen magic.
Let's be honest: I adore Pinterest. Not just for cute inspiration boards or cottagecore home decor (though YES) but because Pinterest is a visual search engine, not a traditional social media app.
That means every pin I post can continue bringing in traffic for months or even years. Talk about passive cozy power.
Pinterest is where I link my blog post, promote my eBooks and digital downloads, share my Twitch, my Podcast and post aesthetic pins that match my brand vibe perfectly. It's slow, sustainable growth and it works.
So, while TikTok helps me connect in real time, Pinterest quietly drives traffic to the core of my business.
my website
my shop
my long-form content
my Podcast
my community
Honestly? Pinterest is like my cozy assistant that works 24/7 without burning out (unline me sometimes lol)
Twitch: Where the Magic Happens Live
And then there's my happy place
Twitch
My live stream unicorn zone
Twitch is where I connect. Deeply. Genuinely. In real time.
When I go live, I'm not just playing cozy games. I'm holding space. We laugh, we decompress, we chat about life, and we remind each other that it's okay to rest and be soft in a world that feels so loud.
For me, Twitch isn't about big numbers. It's about building a community that feels like home
It's where I can be present with my people. It's where cozy creators find each other. It's where I feel like I'm really seen and where I get to see others too.
I chose Twtich for my live streams because it's designed for deeper interaction, longer hangouts, and a culture that understands what it means to build slowly and intentionally.
So, Why All Three?
Because I'm a mulit-passionate cozy creator and each platform helps me nurture a different part of that.
TikTok keeps things fresh and fun.
Pinterest keeps things growing quielty in the background
Twtich keeps me grounded and connected.
They each have a place in my content creation strategy and honestly? they work beautifully together. I can turn a TikTok into a blog post then pin that post on Pinterest and chat about it live on Twitch. Full circle. Cozy synergy.
Choose What Feels Right
If you're a creator trying to figure out where to show up....my advice?
Start with how you want to feel.
Do you want quick connection?
Do you want sustainable growth?
Do you want real-time relationships
There's no one right way to do this. But there is a way that fits you.
I chose my platforms with intention, not pressure. and it's made all the difference.
So, whether you're planning your content calendar or just trying to figure out where the heck to post today.... remember this:
You don't have to be everywhere. You just have to be where it matters.
Now got get cozy, get clear, and create in a way that makes you feel good.
With love and unicorn sparkles,
Uni
