Why Spyro the Dragon Stole My heart (And All My Free Time)

Okay but why did no one tell me Spyro was THIS FUN?!

Like..... sure, i'd seen the little purple dragon around.

he's cute. He's sassy. He flies. He breaths fire. Coll, right?

BUT NO ONE WARNED ME that I'd get emotionally attached. That I'd spend literal hours chasing gems, roasting enemies, and trying to 100% every level like it was my life's purpose.

This is my first time playing Spyro the Dragon and let me tell you...... I'm enjoying the purple menace.

Gem Collecting Has Become My Personality Now

I don't even know who I am anymore. I see sparkly things, and I need to get them. I don't care if it means headbutting a sheep or gliding into a wall. I want those gems.

Missing one gem? Not sleeping until I find it.

Chest with a key? I will backtrack for HOURS until I find that dang key.

Sparks not glowing? Cut the spiral of panic because he's the only thing keeping me alive.

I don't just play Spyro. I become Spyro. And he's adorable AND aggressive. Just like me.

Spyro Is a Vibe (And also Slightly Feral)

Let's be real. Spyro is such a mood.

He talks back to the adult dragons like a tiny legend.

He burns everything without asking questions.

Glides off cliffs with pure delusions and zero fear.

Headbutts things for fun.

And his little jumps? The way he wiggles. 10/10 No notes.

Things That Brought Me Joy (And Also Rage)

The Joy:

The soft tinkle sound of collecting gems

Flaming enemies like a polite arsonist

Unlocking dragons and hearing their old man wisdom.

The RAGE!

Jumping puzzles that were clearly made to test my emotional stability.

That ONE wizard that hides behind a wall like a coward.

Flying levels! WHO INVENTED THESE?!?

Accidentally charging straight into lava. AGAIN.

Spyro Feels Like Cozy Chaos, And I'm Here for It

Is Spyro the Dragon a cozy game?

Debatable.

But it has that "do what you want, explore everything, light things on fire" energy that scratches the exact same itch. It's chaotic comfort. It feels nostalgic even if it's your first time. It's cozy that "I'm healing my inner child by headbutting barrel" Kind of way.

Basically......Spyro is therapy. Just purple and slightly flammable.

Will I Keep Playing the Series?

1000% YES!

I already want more dragons. More sass. More gem-hunting madness. More flaming enemies with zero remorse. If this is what being a dragon is like? Sign me up. Permantely.

Cute Should Not Be This Dangerous

Spyro tricked me.

He lured me in with his big eyes and bouncy little legs and then turned me into a gem-obsessed, chest-key hunting lunatic who now has 100% two levels and still going.

And honestly?

I've never loved a game more
